Parish Outreach Ministry

631-324-0134 ext 732

Our programs offer the parish community a way to respond to those among us who are hurting emotionally, financially, physically, or spiritually. Requests for assistance may involve direct services (food, clothes, furniture, transportation, utility payment), informational referrals to other agencies (town, county, state and federal programs), or just listening to get someone through a difficult situation.

Anyone who lives within the geographical boundaries of MHT, regardless of race, age, religion, or financial situation is eligible to seek assistance. Individuals may contact the Parish Outreach Office directly Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 4 PM by phone 324-0134 ext 732 to ask questions or to set up an appointment.

Our Director of Parish Outreach is Doreen M. Quaranto. Doreen is a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). At this time she handles all initial assessments and intakes, however it is our parish volunteers who make things happen.

The following poem by John Wesley and updated by our director outlines the many ways for you to get involved in Outreach.
